Students of management schools seldom interact with each other and get few opportunities to do so. Through ABStract – the annual management event of FABS, the institute integrates and showcases the talents of students pursuing M.M.S. / P.G.D.B.A. streams in Management Education across all colleges in Mumbai, by providing a common platform for them to come together.

The event is run like a professional organization – Students elect Event Heads who function like CEO’s of the event., who in turn appoint Committee Heads for sub events, and functions like Logistics, Creatives, Registrations ,Accounts, Judges, Food, Marketing and Publicity etc. All this is accomplished so there is good co-ordination and smooth functioning.

ABStract 08 was a cut above the rest; a unique event. College in and around Mumbai were invited to bring their flagship events and pit them against each other. About 13 colleges overwhelmed us with their innovative and enterprising events. Around 250 students participated in the event.

ABStract teaches students to experience the power of working in teams and also binds the past students, the present seniors and juniors at the B-School. After all, the strength of an institution lies in its alumni. It has also helped in creating a brand value of FABS amongst corporates and amidst B-School students.

Thus, our intention of putting together this grand event is that Management Students of today, who are the corporate leaders of tomorrow, are groomed to be management thinkers and contribute to not only the growth of their respective organisations, but also to the overall development of the society.
